Minecraft Dungeons II Tier List
Pre-launch ranks from trailers and hands-on reports, not a fake day-one meta.
This hub is the honest version of a Minecraft Dungeons II tier list. The game has not launched. There is no ladder, no raid log, no week-one patch hiding a 400% hammer. What we do have is a pile of named weapons, a four-piece armor grid, talismans with public tooltips, and two vendors that can stamp new verbs onto all of it. Ranks below are verb ranks — how useful a thing looks for the fights Mojang has already shown — not a promise that Pride of the Plains will be S-tier on September 30.
Jump to the specialised lists when you already know the grammar:
- Weapons — melee and ranged names from trailers, plus which bosses they suit.
- Armor — four armor slots, mixed pieces, and what the HUD actually showed.
- Enchantments — dodge-arrow books and the Enchantsmith library.
- Talismans — pets, souls, and the three passive slots.
- Starter builds — three loadouts you can actually play on launch night.
If you still need the grammar, go back to How to Play and the Blacksmith and Enchantsmith guide. A tier list without those pages is a screenshot caption.
How these ranks were built
Sources, in order of weight:
- Official trailers and HUD screenshots (inventory tiles, Frost Crescent II, Twisted Tooth +40% souls).
- Xbox Wire hands-on from the June Showcase and gamescom 2026 (pet dog, regen-on-kill, ranged bomb Copper Monstrosity, dodge-and-arrow books).
- Store copy and Beebom/Sportskeeda recaps that name Tornado Blade, War Hammer, Battlestaff, Trickbow, Sickles, Dual Daggers.
Anything not named in those places is not on the list. Inventing an “Ancestral Flame Katana” to fill an S row is how wikis get people killed.
Snapshot ranks (pre-launch)
S — verbs the demos leaned on
- Pet talismans (Showcase dog)
- Dodge-roll enchantments, especially arrows-on-roll
- Bomb artifacts for Copper Monstrosity windows
- Regen-on-kill effects that feed pets
- Souls-gain talismans (Twisted Tooth) if you are funding the Enchantsmith
A — tools that solve a shown fight
- Charged bows for kiting lightning traces
- Battlestaff reach for Sift packs
- War Hammer for packed Overworld roads
- Frost Crescent-style crowd control
- Four-piece armor with mixed resistances once those numbers exist
B — fine, not magic
- Dual daggers and sickles until a ravager or copper dash says otherwise
- Crossbows for volume when you cannot charge
- Cosmetic-first uniques you keep only because the Blacksmith can cap them
C — wait for launch numbers
- Anything whose only citation is a blurry trailer frame
- Duplicate verbs you already have on a capped item
How to use a pre-launch list without griefing yourself
Blacksmith first, rank second. A B-tier sword at cap with the right book will beat an S-tier name you found ten power too late. Enchantsmith third. The book is the rank; the model is the skin. If two items share a verb, keep the one you can see in a copper lightning storm — readability is a stat.
Update policy: the day the game launches, this hub will stop pretending. Numbers will replace adjectives. Until then, every rank is labelled as demo-based on purpose. If another wiki is already shipping a 40-row “final” list, they are guessing with better CSS.
Pair this hub with the loadout planner when you are ready to turn a letter grade into six equipped tiles, and with Updates if a later preview names a weapon we have not listed yet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is this Minecraft Dungeons II tier list final?
No. It is a pre-launch verb ranking from trailers and hands-on reports. Launch patches will change it.
Where are weapon and armor ranks?
Should I vendor B-tier items?
Not if you like them. The Blacksmith can cap a favourite. Rank the verb, not the letter.
Do cosmetics affect tier?
No. Skins from pre-order do not change damage. Equip the chicken for joy, not for DPS.
